Italian Animation Retrospective
The young assassins, papa rabbit, mama lunar, a little dancing dog, the snail lady, sister cops ... The characters are imaginary, Little Russia is real.
An ambiguous animation painted on public walls. Made in Buenos Aires and in Baden.
What was it like, before the birth of the universe? Does reality exist just because we are able to perceive it? A girl tries to answer the big questions: she imagines she can empty the universe and then finds herself alone, as the smallest part of the universe. She is then forced to choose whether to consider herself as part of the cosmos, or as its creator. She stops and asks herself: shall I destroy myself? Or shall I destroy the universe?
A girl is playing alone, she loses, she hides and tries to be re-born.
A teacher and her pupil linger in an empty classroom. Through their looks and gestures, a strange confrontation begins.
A child's daydream during a school lesson is abruptly interrupted by the teacher. The "instructor" threatens his young student to cut off his ear to "stimulate" the concentration and prevent further escapes into the realm of imagination.
My cheeks brush against the stones, I look out from a break in the wall.
