Born in 1978 in Marseille, Jonathan Laskar studied visual arts at the University of Aix-Marseille (France) where he focused on painting and sound-installation. In parallel with his studies, he continued his musical training in classical double-bass at the Conservatory of Aix-en-Provence.
After obtaining his bachelor, Jonathan Laskar began his architecture studies at the Bauhaus University of Weimar (Germany). Numerous interdisciplinary and international workshops allowed him to acquire technical and artistic experience in domains of video, music, architecture and graphic design.
After working as an architect in Basel (Switzerland) for three years and participating at many competitions, Jonathan Laskar studied at the Lucerne University. He graduated in 2013, obtaining a master’s degree in art, major short motion.
With the graduation-film De terre et d’encre, Jonathan Laskar signs his debut-film.
